POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler/Delivery Driver is a 20 hour a week position, driving in the Bucks County area, with home base at BARC Production Services Warminster. The Delivery Driver works under the leadership of the Production Manager in Vocational Services and is responsible to the supported workers by supplementing their supply of contract work, that includes packing, wrapping skids, moving product on the shop floor, loading and unloading the truck, with pick-up and delivery of all contracted supplies in both the Warminster and Quakertown workshops. This position’s duties also include general duties including scheduling for delivery and job cost containment.
Work hours are generally 3 or 4 days a week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., with a total of 20 hours weekly. Thursday is the mandatory full day required to drive shipments. The Material Handler/ Delivery Driver will perform job duties at both production locations, as needed and requested, with empathy and respect for their confidentiality and privacy, and always communicate in a courteous manner.
Every effort is made to have associates work within their established job descriptions. However, as part of BARC’s Emergency Preparedness Plan, the Delivery Driver/Material Handler can be reassigned to other jobs, which may be in a different department, based on conditions at the time of the needed re-assignment. Orientation and appropriate training will be provided.
